Since 2009, CSG has expertly steered political action committees comprised of dedicated non-governmental organizations (NGOs) focused on conservation and environmental stewardship in California. CSG has an exceptional track record of spearheading some of the largest ballot initiatives in California's conservation history: Proposition 4 (2024), a $10 billion general obligation bond for safe drinking water, wildfire prevention, and protecting communities and natural lands from climate risks – the state’s largest climate and water bond to date, Proposition 68 (2018), which authorized $4 billion in general obligation bonds dedicated to state and local parks, environmental protection and restoration projects, water infrastructure initiatives, and flood protection endeavors, Proposition 39 (2010), a statewide initiative that effectively closed a tax loophole benefiting corporations relocating jobs and investments out of state, and the no-on-Proposition 23 initiative that posed a threat to the environmental progress established by AB 32 (Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006).
